Introducing Band of Hope! The First Hat of 2013!

Schnapps has finished a new hat - the first of 2013!  Thank you Tina for the name!!  This hat was knit using Michael's Charisma yarn, which is chunky or 5-weight, but the pattern includes instructions for super-bulky, chunky, worsted and sport weight also.

So far, 2013 is off to a great start.  37 new hats are already in and we've gotten lots of feedback about how much these hats mean to those who receive them.  If you are able to make a hat, please do and either send it to us or give it to your local cancer center.

If you're not a fan of Delaware Head Huggers yet, stop by and "Like" our Facebook page.  Stop by Kozy Kovers for Kids Facebook page too!  It's amazing how close we have all become through these pages and we welcome everyone to join us too.  Stop by and say hello.  You can always reach me at robin@delawareheadhuggers.org too.

This pattern is for sale for $2 on Ravelry and on Craftsy.  You can use the buttons on the right hand side of the blog to get to either store.  For those of you who don't know, 100% of the price of all patterns is used for shipping and supply costs for Delaware Head Huggers and Kozy Kovers for Kids.

Schnapps worked hard on this one and he hopes you like it!

Remember, all are welcome to join us in some way - we love to see new people and are grateful when more people hear about us.  So, spread the word!  And, as always, if you or anyone you know is in need of chemo caps, please feel free to contact me directly at robin@delawareheadhuggers.org and I will be happy to ship some out.  If there is a chemo center that is near and dear to your heart and you think they could use some hats, let me know and I will ship a box off to them.  This is what we do!!
