I needed a gift in a hurry, so I decided to try this lace pattern as a bookmark.........I ruined the first one I made by melting the yarn, but this knits up so quickly, I was able to make a second one in time! The metallic yarn makes it a bit difficult to see the stitches in the photo, but you can get the general idea.
Of course the pattern is free.

This
will work with any yarn and whatever needles are recommended for the yarn you
are using. I used a 2-weight
metallic yarn for this one and size 3 needles. The bookmark is about 1.5 inches wide and about 8 inches
long. Different yarn will give you
different dimensions, but really, that’s fine for a bookmark! Play around with it and see what you
get!
